Information overload comes to mind when you think of weight loss. It is all over the place and reading too much on the subject will only leave you confused. We want to keep it simple and to the point.

What is the secret to weight loss? You may ask. The answer is there is absolutely no secret to weight loss. The word "secret" is just a marketing term used by marketers to sell you information you already know. There is only one difference between people losing weight successfully and those who don't. The difference is that you must find a custom eating plan, exercise routine and supplement plan, and then just stick to it and the results will be nothing short of amazing.

Here are some "weight loss secrets", and you don't even have to pay for them:

- Don't eat carbohydrates after 7 pm
- Use 3.2 grams of CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid) daily
- Eat more fibre
- Don't skip meals
- Eat small portions every 2 to 3 hours (This will boost your metabolism)
- Eat more broccoli
- Cut down on sodium
- Cut down on simple carbohydrates (sugars)
- Drink more water
- Remove any visible fat from meat before cooking
- Eat red meat only twice a week
- Cook with Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Avoid fried foods

Simple Carbohydrates

You can use a combination of any of the above as you want. One of my absolute favorites to melt off the fat, is to substitute simple carbohydrates or sugar for complex carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates are things like sweets, and it causes a spike in your insulin levels and then makes it drop drastically. So you get hungry more frequently if you eat simple carbohydrates.

Complex Carbohydrates

Complex carbohydrates also known as slow release or slow burning carbohydrates include oats, brown rice, sweet potato, etc. They provide you with a steadier release of energy of a longer period of time and thus keep you fuller for longer. The rule here is to substitute simple carbohydrates for complex carbohydrates whenever you possibly can, and they also help with reducing cravings.

The weight loss secrets mentioned in this article are simple, but they do work well. If you follow these simple steps, you will lose weight, but the most important point is to stick with it.
