Blogger question...

Hello to you lovely ladies!

I am still transitioning to my new blog-which is hopefully an explanation as to the lack of posting on my part lately.

Does anyone know how to combine this blog and my new one?

I'd like people to be redirected from this blog to the other.  Is this possible??

I appreciate it if anyone out there knows how the heck to do that!!

Follow me...

Ok kids....

It's time to bring out the big guns.

And by big guns...I mean begging....

PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE follow my NEW BLOG!!

I have no shame, it's true.

It's just that I'm having a difficult time letting go of this blog.  I love this blog.  It's made me realize my true calling in life....and thanks to all of you...it's shown me that there are other brides out there like me-who want more than what the wedding industry has had to offer us.
I want to post on my new blog daily-but it's like if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it-does it make a sound?

Please come read my new blog.  I promise it will still be about my wedding-but it will also be about events and weddings I'm planning--and that's fun for the whole family!

I'm also posting on EAD Tuesdays and Fridays, so you can come see me over there!

ok, enough shameless self promotion.

Times they are a changin'

Me and two engaged girlfriends went to the NotWedding last night here in Atlanta.  It was a lot of fun!  I ended up spending most of the night hanging out with our ever cool photographers who were the main photographers for the evening.  The NotWedding was basically a big, fake wedding that showed off some of the city’s most talented vendors in action. Guests could partake in a cocktail hour, an all-out ceremony, and a reception.  It was fun.  I will be trying to do something similar with my business in the near future...so stay tuned for that!

Speaking of my business...I will be linking my website to this blog, so my blog will be changing a little in the near future.  I'm going to change the blog name to For the Love of Brides.  This blog is still going to be about life, love, and weddings-it's just going to feature brides and weddings that I'm currently planning-instead of just my own wedding.
I'm not sure what the process is yet to make these changes, but I'll be sure to let you all know as soon as I do!  Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and support-this is such a new and exciting venture for me-and I couldn't imagine doing it without all of you wonderful bride/wedding bloggers out there!
EDIT: I have exported this blog to my NEW BLOG title.  Please follow my new blog.  I'm still not sure how this works, but hopefully this will do the trick.

I heart ETSY!

While looking for a cool new bag for my laptop-I came across this shop on etsy.  I am in LOVE with their fabrics and bags!  I figure once my business gets going I'm going to have my MacBook attached to my hip--so I might as well look stylish while I'm carrying it everywhere!

I had narrowed it down to these two, but I went with the top one.  I really love the bottom design, but I didn't want it to be quite so 'loud'.

Check out the shop if you're in the market for a cool bag.  Oh Etsy-you haven't failed me yet!!

Let them eat POPCORN!

Well, the lovely Julie from Bohtieque has done it again!  She made us our labels for the popcorn bar bags and here they are....

She did such a great job matching our invitation suite-
and I could not be happier!

Yay for having another project completed!  Now the question is...what kind of bags should I use?  I originally thought I'd use cellophane  bags, but I'm wondering if they will be too messy.  I might need something thicker that will hold the popcorn if it's a little greasy...hmmm...thoughts?

Change of plans...

Is it too late to get married in South Africa?
Vince was born and raised there, but I've never been.
I just found this photographer-and now I want to get married there.

I mean..oh..my...gah.  The dress...
Be still my heart...
Ok come on-these people know style...and how to have a good time.

Oh...and this wedding?!?
Seriously?!?!
Never in my wildest dreams could I ever be this cool.
Breathtaking.
