Some believe it would be impossible to keep the pounds off, whereas, other people believe that if they actually commit themselves to their goals, they will be able to keep the extra excess pounds off and actually continue dropping in pounds. In this article, I will be sharing with you some important secrets that people who were losing pounds had in common.

1) They say nice things to themselves. Don't say anything bad or terrible about yourself. Don't even start thinking it. At most times, we may be causing our self stress and start feeling negatively about ourselves. Just because you ate a cookie, don't negatively start thinking you are a worthless cause and decide to give up. Instead, you want to keep positive and don't allow small mess ups to get you down and give up hope. Give yourself positive and encouraging messages.

2) You must exercise. You need to make sure you exercise on a regular basis. You don't necessarily have to exercise for extremely long hours, but you should include it into your daily life. You don't have to go to a gym or even spend a lot of money on equipment. You can ride a bike, swim, or even easier, take walks. Just get active and start moving. Once you see the pounds coming off, you will be motivated to keep going and continue reaching your loss goals.

3) You need to face your feelings. You don't want to turn to food whenever you are sad or depressed, or even just bored. You need to deal with these feelings. You need to understand what causes you to feel the way you do, and figuring out a way to solve the problem. You can go take a walk or do something fun, whenever you feel bored. If you feel lonely, you can go out with a friend or just call them.

4) You must enjoy life. You need to take care of your own needs, and don't always put other people's needs and cares above yours. Don't always reward yourself with eating food. You can pursue a hobby or widen your circle of friends or relationships.

5) You should get support. You should get and ask help from family and friends. Tell them to not buy or leave unhealthy food choices around for you. You could ask them to give you little pep talks and offer any encouragement.
